IL-2 Sturmovik started as a small simulator project. It was based just on one aircraft: the Ilyushin Il-2. Now the latest release of the game, named 1946 is something never imagined. The game now has 229 flyable aircrafts, and 300 in total. There are 32 new aircrafts in the 1946 version. As well as the new aircrafts, the 1946 version also includes 4 new regions, based in Korea, USSR and China. This is not all, if you were wondering if the game is repetitive, the 1946 version adds nine new campaigns adding up to a total of 200 new missions. These campaigns focus on alternate history or "what ifs" of the WWII. With the 1946 version, you have all the original games and add-ons plus this huge new amount of content. The game, as always, is quite simply the best WWI air combat simulator in the market. Nothing comes close to it. It has superb physics and graphics, and the multi-player in this game is something that will keep you playing for hours. Even if you have the previous IL-2 games, you must get 1946. Now with a price of 9.95 its just a bargain.
